State-of-the-art laboratory techniques and ASTM standard methods are used in fire debris analysis for flammable liquids. Simplified zone models, and the more sophisticated field models using advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) numerical methods are used to model fire phenomenon.
dfa engineers have performed more than 1000 fire-related investigations over the past 18 years. Our professional affiliations include the Professional Engineers of Ontario, Society of Fire Protection Engineers, Canadian Association of Fire Investigators, and International Associations of Arson Investigators. Our professional engineers have been admitted as expert witnesses, and offered opinion evidence at courts in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and Nova Scotia.
